I love the adage, “If you are green you are growing and if you are ripe you are rotting.” I recognize that I am still awfully green in many ways and that I am happy to be very much engaged in the process of learning and growing.
“If you are green you are growing and if you are ripe you are rotting.”
I am not classically trained to write or to speak about personal development or effective personal leadership. I am not a Psychologist, Theologian or Human Behaviorist.
In my professional life, I have been trusted to shoulder leadership roles in business incubation, start-up, and development. I have spearheaded large fundraising efforts and produced events for crowds of 10,000+ in large cities across the United States. I have helped to publish, promote and distribute books that have become New York Times best-sellers. I thrive in the areas of sales and marketing, strategic planning and personal development.
The aforementioned is clearly more about what I have accomplished than who I am.
“I believe that my life experience will resonate with others. I am willing to share both the highs and the lows of my journey and I consider my efforts an experiment in faith and trust.”
I am the youngest of eight children. I am happily married to an incredibly strong and beautiful woman. I am a father to seven vibrant and engaged children. I am deeply invested at home and in my faith community.
I have two handfuls of bona fide friends who are incredibly supportive and affirming. I work hard to distinguish myself professionally and I live to make a difference. I am eager to give voice to that with which I am struggling on the inside of me and I want to help establish critical beach-heads for those who are in search of more meaning in their lives.
I am actively divesting myself of the material things that separate me from the life to which I have been called. I believe that my life experience will resonate with others. I am willing to share both the highs and the lows of my journey and I consider my efforts an experiment in faith and trust.
I am unsure as to where my efforts will ultimately lead, so I remain free from getting too wrapped up in the outcome. I am a small caraway seed in the bakery of life!
