WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

What I write about is designed to inspire action. My aim is to provide you with motivation and ongoing inspiration in order to challenge you to grow and change. I do this primarily through writing and sharing a Crux (short email message). You can read about Cruxes and how they work by clicking on this What’s a Crux? link.

I have decided to write from the perspective of first person. I speak from my heart, explore my own life experiences and what I write is intended to be non-judgmental. My style involves sharing my vulnerability with the reader, ensuring that the message is real and accessible. I am not an expert. The things that I share in my writing reflect my wrestling “out-loud” with the virtues and life-skills that I most want to master and apply to my own life.

My goal is very simple. I am committed to the daily pursuit of Balance and Focus and I want to share what I am learning along the way. I know that Balance and Focus are never fully achieved; rather, they must be re-established and maintained every day.  This effort begins with intention and grows with the adoption of a variety of daily disciplines.

“There is no quick fix in establishing a life that has lasting impact and meaning. Balance and Focus is at odds with the culture.”

There is no quick fix in establishing a life that has lasting impact and meaning. Balance and Focus is at odds with the culture. Our approach is in direct opposition to the dominant forces which stoke our fast-paced lifestyles and panicked world views.

If you desire more Balance and Focus in your life, then you have already begun the important work. Nurture your intention, keep these goals top-of-mind and soon you will feel yourself coming to a place of better clarity and enduring purpose.  When this happens on the inside, you’ll necessarily start to feel your outsides shift as well.
I am excited that you are engaged in this important life work.  I admire your courage and I trust that your initial attraction toward resetting the purpose and pace of your life will long persist.

In the end, it is the life that you feed that will take the lead!

Each day, you can choose to either be in a restless pursuit of material success and possessions or you can commit to using the time that you have to fashion more of your life from your inmost core.
In the end, it is the life that you feed that will take the lead!
