WHAT’S A CRUX?

I will share my observations and what I am learning in life in the form of a short email message that I call a ‘Crux’.  Perhaps it would be helpful to view a Crux as a distillation of personal experiences and my interpretation of same, all of which is offered in an attempt to assist my readers in reclaiming Balance and Focus in their lives. A Crux is not meant to offer a prescription per se; instead it is meant to come along side you and help you to articulate your own diagnosis of what ails your soul.

“…I am hopeful that my openness and vulnerability are both appealing and approachable”

My intention when sharing these Cruxes is really rather simplistic; it is to write to Everyman…but not to every man, every time. Some Cruxes will resonate while others will not and that’s OK.

Cruxes are written in the first person.  I am committed to transparency in my writing and I am hopeful that my openness and vulnerability are both appealing and approachable. I do not intend to teach or to preach, rather what I write about are the things that I most want to achieve in my own life.  My hoped-for result is that what I write about will leave my readers motivated and inspired to make positive changes in their daily approach to living.

“Adopting new approaches to living when my previous approach no longer serves me well is how I develop and mature…”

At different times in my life, pain has forced me to go in search of pain relief. Pain is the great motivator in my life. Adopting new approaches to living when my previous approach no longer serves me well is how I develop and mature. At critical times in my life, certain messages were made manifest and resonated profoundly.  They have provided me with lasting touchstones to absorb, leverage and share. I now view myself as an inspired curator and promoter of these simple messages and learnings.
